The idea
Chaimaa takes on a freelance data entry project — 3,000 invoices that needed to be entered into a spreadsheet manually. After two weeks of tedious work, she thinks: "there has to be a better way." She starts building her first document extraction script that weekend.
First customers
The tool gets shared in a Des Moines entrepreneur group. Three small businesses become the first paying clients. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive — and the requests keep coming. Alex joins as the first hire to build a proper AI pipeline.
OnyorAI LLC is formed
OnyorAI LLC is officially incorporated in Iowa. Sophie and James join the team. The hybrid OCR + AI Vision pipeline is launched, pushing accuracy on handwritten documents from 74% to over 95%. First European clients onboard.
Today
OnyorAI has processed over 4.2 million pages for 2,400+ clients across 9 countries. We've digitized patient records for medical clinics, invoice archives for accounting firms, work orders for construction companies, and court documents for law practices. We're just getting started.
