At OnyorAI, we built an AI-powered pipeline that reads those documents the way a human expert would — understanding context, inferring ambiguous handwriting, and delivering clean, structured output in formats businesses can immediately use.

How we got here

2022

The idea

A freelance project that changed everything

Chaimaa takes on a freelance data entry project — 3,000 invoices that needed to be entered into a spreadsheet manually. After two weeks of tedious work, she thinks: "there has to be a better way." She starts building her first document extraction script that weekend.

2023

First customers

Word spreads through a local business network

The tool gets shared in a Des Moines entrepreneur group. Three small businesses become the first paying clients. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive — and the requests keep coming. Alex joins as the first hire to build a proper AI pipeline.

Early 2024

OnyorAI LLC is formed

From side project to registered business

OnyorAI LLC is officially incorporated in Iowa. Sophie and James join the team. The hybrid OCR + AI Vision pipeline is launched, pushing accuracy on handwritten documents from 74% to over 95%. First European clients onboard.
